I wanna make something nice

hope this is the right forum

i found some gorgous handmade paper at costco, tons of it, want to use it to make something nice for my boyfriend for our anniversary
usually make him something so now im running out of ideas all i know is that there is all this gorgous paper and i wanna use it
except it cant be something like a scrap book, i wouldnt be suprised if his room got raided and someone found it

ive got a few months so no rush!

so you want ideas for gifts you can make from paper is that right?if so heres a few ideas iv thought of,
a calendar?you can buy buy the little calendars from whs smiths or somewhere like that and have a photo of you both at the top.

a cd with all his fav music and a personalised(made by you)cd cover

a mini memory book?

a pop up story booklet,just a few pages with maybe a short story about you both,about him or totally made up lol,with maybe lift up tabs with pics underneath

what kind of things have you made before if you dont mind me asking just to help get an idea

he's an annoying !!!!!!
he uses his pda for a calender
maybe just a little flip book then

he doesnt have a cd player at all just uses his computer with all his mp3s so dont think he'd appreciate a cd

mini memory book i like the idea of just unsure about writing stuff down, its very likely he'd get people rooting through his room
maybe instead of actually writing stuff i could put nice lyrics down that kind of explain the story, but we have quite different taste in music

pop up book i wouldnt know where to start with, really cute idea though the lift up tabs are something to think about

urm for his birthday i did a collage(sp?) of all his photos from baby to adult, urm i made him an origami plant one year that he could put stuff in
i gave him a photo frame once with loads of different piccies that he could swap and change
urmm apart from that just clothes and stuff me thinks

oh and a keyring with our piccies in it
its not just stuck in tho, all the piccies ive given him were edited in photoshop with a design/messages/names

ahhh..you sound like me..im creative and love to make things..but sometimes i just get totally stuck for ideas..
ok if i were you what would i make........for a complete pain..lol...

erm...a mousemat? thats my latest venture..
get a blank mousemat if you need help finding one let me know i have a ton of links as iv just got some myself they cost £2 max.
then create whatever insert you want,could be photos,poetry,maybe a funny limerick about him whatever and hey presto.

another one i made after i lost my mum,was to get a flower from her flowers obviously you wouldnt use funeral flowers but maybe a wedding flower or similar,i pressed it,then brought a frame doesnt need to be an expensive one,printed a photo with a poem i wrote and stuck the pressed flower next to it and framed it.looked lovely and lasts forever.

or how about a wine/beer label.just thought of this one ...
get a bottle wine or beer.
remove the label on it make sure you get it all off so it doesnt look messy.
create your own label..you could put all sorts of things on it.
his name,a sexy slogan for him,a photo of him,whatever you wanted.
then stick it onto the bottle and da daaaaaaaaaa..

hmmm im racking my brains here lol...looking round my living room to see if anything gives me a brill idea.but all i see is christmas tree ,kids toys and quality street lol

Thats it- i love making stuff but no ideas

doh i forgot, the asda 1.50 mouse mat thing i had a mousemat made with the 1 baby picture he likes

the flower things cute but hes banned me from putting any more stuff on his wall he has no more wall space left!!

bookmark he reads e-books (he really is a geek)

coasters an idea, wouldnt use up much paper though

the beer/wine label, his mum doesnt like alcohol so he wouldnt be able to put it anywhere

Annoying isnt it im completely stuck for ideas!!

ive got a design your own piggy bank thing which i am yet to make cos he hates carrying change
but wanna do something with this paper as well if i can

hand or footprint pic.
or maybe be daring and do a booby print pic lol...put it in paint and squish it on the paper...heheh...

edit:
how about a message/photo in a bottle

lol edit again..
a year of love..get a jar decorate it to make it look nice then fill it with 365 pieces of paper each with a reason for why you love him,should be together etc,one for every day of the year
or similar
a Message Bottle. Filled with real rose petals, heart shaped pieces and your personal message on a scroll inside!

almost as bad as when he got her to read out from the fcuk t-shirt (cool as fcuk) i got him (she doesnt speak very good english):eek:

at the moment im leaning towards the calender thing but hate having pics of me in his room
have made him promise it will be hidden whenever anyone comes round

A Fairy Tale Story
My boyfriend and I are always telling each other stories, just to pass the time. This year for Christmas I decided to write out the story of how we met in a fairy-tale format, complete with cute pictures of the Kim Anderson children to illustrate it. All my girlfriends loved the idea, and hopefully he likes it as much, too!

i love this idea its perfect but i havent written a story in a long time, hope it turns out ok
So excited!!!
