Tomato sauce I am told!! - they say it works but I have never tried it!!Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

Head and Shoulders shampoo used a few times in succession should help - a hairdresser friend waarned me not to use it after dying my hair as it is really strong and strips colour out.0

Yeah i think the same happens with Vosene and I tried that, has taken out a little bit but not much - was thinking more along the lines of something I can use in the house tonight as I am going away tomorrow so wanted it done before then lol:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0

Washing hair with only conditioner and a bit of honey can help. Its best to use a normal or greasy hair conditioner, something cheap without silicones. Mix abou 3 parts conditioner to one part honey. Slather it on really thickly, using it to wash your scalp, leaving on for a few minutes and then rinsing very thoroughly can be helpful. Try and avoid shampoo.
Be careful with some of the harsher methods, they will strip your hair very easily0 -
Yes, daughter who is a hairdresser agrees with head and shoulders and vosene. If you keep on washing your hair when it is clean, nothing will remove the colour. You need to 'dirty' your hair so the vosene etc has something to cling on to. Try spraying your hair with hairspray or other styling products to 'dirty' your hair before washing. As someone who has had lilac hair in the past then covered with a very dark brown, I sympathise with you. (Long before my daughter trained as a hairdresser and not done by her I hasten to add!!)0

I have heard Head and Shoulders recommended for this too. Also smothering hair in cooking oil and wrapping in cling-film for an hour(nice!) before washing the oil out. Never tried it myself though!susank wrote:Tomato sauce I am told!! - they say it works but I have never tried it!!0

Hi I used Neutrogena to strip the colour out of mine,
went darker and hated it! Had to do it 3 times before I felt better but it did work for me. Good luck0 -
I've just dyed my hair nearly black (should have been dark brown whoops) have used head and shoulders daily and it is looking a bit lighter my hairdresser suggested if that didn't work try a bit of fairy liquid for a couple of washes!0

Washing-up liquid - preferably not Fairy, Palmolive or any other sort of moisturising one, but really cheap stuff. You'll need to condition really well afterwards, as it strips all the oils, but your hair will probably be in better condition after you do that. I use it every month or so to get rid of all the product build-up and then use a deep-conditioning treatment to follow.0
