Panasonic TH37PX60B £799 @ Currys (incl floor stand)

I have no idea how they managed it, but I went to Currys at 4.30 today to buy the Panasonic TH37PX60B with tabletop stand. It is advertised on the Currys website for £799. When the assistant was trying to put this through the terminal he couldn't find it as a complete package. The terminal wanted to charge extra for the tabletop stand. He went on to the internet to check that the price wasn't a web exclusive. Once he'd decided that it should be that in store he went back to try to find a way of putting it through at that price.

Then he found the same TV including floor stand, for £799. This package was selling for £1399 on Christmas Eve. In fact the sign in the store still said that price.

After a quick visit to the other end of the store to see if the floor stand would be too big on our livingroom floor, I decided it should be fine. It is now sitting in our lvingroom waiting to be unpacked and set up.

Currys website have this offer at £999, but the terminal in store doesn't agree with that.

May be worth a visit tomorrow to anyone who is interested and thinks it worthwhile trying.
