tumble dryers and static, any ideas?

can anyone suggest anything to prevent the static that builds up on clothes dried in the dryer?
i have heard of tumble dryer balls to soften the clothes but do they prevent the static?

I use a sheet of bounce. I guess not very OS, but stops all static and smells good! I only use my TD about once a month, so the sheets are not expensive for meSave the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!

that is what i use now on my own stuff but my little ones have v sensitive skin so i was looking for somthing that would be ok for them, thanks anyway though- prior planning prevents poor performance!

I've seen those balls, mean't to work well but never tried them myself, would be interested if anyone knows where they are cheaper than £9.99 aswell. The only thing that put me off. They also state can't be used in combination washer dryers, which is why my sister didn't buy them.One day I might be more organised...........
