Get yourself a me, my, mine basket

Another idea from another website

How about making yourself a basket/stocking/hamper of goodies collected throughout the year? You can choose to have it for Christmas week or to open on Christmas morning, whatever you choose. There are no rules as what you have to buy or when you have to buy it just when you see something that takes your fancy, grab it and put it away.

I'm going to do this myself, what do you think?

crumbs that is bizarre tiff cause today looking around the house I saw bits of this and that and was thinking what to do with it and came up with a hamper and how I would like one instead of giving them all away and there it is on the thread what I had been thinking to do....!! xx

yep, full of things you know YOU will like lol

If you put away 1 item a week for the year thats 52 things in your basket. You could wrap them up as you go so that you forget whats in there. Might be a good idea for people living alone, single parents etc who wouldnt otherwise get a present. Good for me too as a busy Mum!

Excellent idea, think i might start my own hamper basket for next year.
This might be a good thread to start in January, and carry on during the year. We could use freebies from the freebie board, grabit/bogof offers etc that are found on this site and general good ideas from all the lovely people who post!!!!
  • brill idea, ooh i can't wait for christmas 2007 and all my little pressies, think i'll start with the january sales (just hope that i don't put them in such a safe place that i lose them) :D

  • How about making it a secret from yourself...

    how you ask?...

Why not get a box, seal it and cover it in wrapping paper then cut a fairly large hole in it like a post box hole. Then stick all your little presents in it throughout the year, and since you can't see what's in it, by the time xmas comes around you will have completely forgotten what is in there and it will be a fantastic surprise! :j

This is a brilliant idea. I am going to start this too in January + also for all other gifts as I've not been totally organised this year.
