Allied carpets have decided to stop selling beds and any stores that have stock are massively reducing them to clear. Most stores don't carry stock so what they are selling off are display models, but there are still some very good bargains to be had. Ive seen a millbrook pocketsprung bed that retails around £800 for £200! It was sold!!
The only branch that I know that stocks beds is the Purley Way - croydon branch so they will have brand new models and displays for sale, expect a minimum 50% off prices and be prepared to barter as they have to go quickly, so I reckon another 10/20% should be no problem.

Just phoned the store near me and all the stock has been and gone, unfortunately.
Thanks for tip though.Herman - MP for all!0 -
From experience (ex co.) I am not sure they will upload these price reductions onto the website as each branch will reduce goods differently, especially if shop floor models as it depends on the condition of the stock.
Branches can transfer beds via their HT delivery trucks but if anyone does this make sure you stipulate that you want the goods properly wrapped as they go on the same trucks as the carpets. Therefore if you see a bed and it is sold ask them to check the country for stock elsewhere on their puters.
If your local store has ran out try other surrounding towns (phone first) and simply barter for free delivery or strap the thing to your car! What you might find is that stock from stores may be transfered to one main branch in a certain area acting as a clearance store, they used to do this with other things, lastly curtains. phone their head office in Orpington for details.0 -

Our local store is the Blackpool one. Lots of beds left, but only at a maximum of 50% off. Was told as this is one of the largest stores it will still sell beds from other stores for a while yet ( although he was very surprised that I knew that they were to stop selling beds). As the prices seemed very inflated anyway, no bargains that I could see. Disappointed. Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0
