Any ideas and recipes for Whiskey themed hamper

Hi
Its my father in laws birthday next week and I was thinking of making him a smallish whiskey hamper. I thought I could make whiskey cake- any tried and tested recipes would be really appreciated. I was also looking for other suggestions, I saw some expensive whiskey hampers have jam in them, but not sure how to make this. I was wondering if you have any suggestions and especailly foolproof recipes as Im still a novice !
