I am making soaps tonight as HM chrissie gifts but i want to avoid buying any extra oils. I want to make peppermint/spearmint soap as my friend loves them but is it safe to use food essence to make the soap smell?
Will it be skin safe? will the smell work?

i've been using herbal teabags for flavours (is that what i mean). have some lovely cranberry, peppermint and chamomile soaps - don't know if they'll "go off" thoughI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
