Glazing Film

Is this "cling film" type of secondary glazing still available?

I tried my DIY superstore and was told "We haven't had THAT for at least SEVEN years"

I've tried e-bay and there's a private seller selling what might be clingfilm - no illustration of goods.

Has anyone used this type of economy secondary glazing?

    http://www.allplaz.co.uk/acatalog/Secondary_Glazing.html - Not cheap though.

I tried it *many* years ago and it is OKish. Pretty fiddly to put up, and doesn't look that good when finished. It only lasts one year and obviously you cannot open the windows when it is in place.

A longer lasting alternative which is not fantastically more expensive is the sliding UPVC secondary glazing which you can get DIY kits for, such as this -http://www.diyplastics.com/secondaryglazing/upvchorizontalslidingsystem.htm

Thanks for your help on that. I want to use the glazing film for a couple of smaller windows only where it won't be THAT visible due to roman blinds and the type of curtains. I have glass secondary glazing on 2 large main windows and that is excellent.

I managed to get hold of some last year from a local hardware store, but I'm fairly sure I saw it in b and q, and wilkinsons when I was comparing prices. You cant take it on and off, but it works ok in my spare room on a small window that never gets opened anyway.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
