Hi, I just thought I'd share this site as I have been given an old style pressure cooker and am a little unsure but really enjoying the better taste it gives to stews etc and wanted to know more....Now I want to buy a newer version. I have a large family so any deals on a bigger pressure cooker, I will be grateful...

Excellent, thank you.
A freecycler gave me a pressure cooker when i went to pick up a food processor. The taste of stews & soups is fantastic. I cant rave about it enough.....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -
Only thing I can really say is buy a stainless steel one rather than aluminium, I have an aluminium one, never leave anything acid in it tip the contents straight out after I have finished cooking them into a container, the acid has a chemical effect with the aluminium, so I am told.
I have had one for over 40 years, use it a lot, you can bottle fruit in it sucessfully although its quite a while since I did that. Use it for stews, soups, and stock, have also done Christmas puddings in one. makles great dumplings, I drop them in on top of the stew and re-pressurise for about 4 minutes...... although its a while since i did that too.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
