Years ago my granny used to buy occasionally (I think from a door to door seller) a doll made up of kitchen cloths and one of those wooden dishmops with a cotton mop-head for hair...I can't remember if it had a dolls face stuck on? I do remember one of them had a headscarf and gold hoop earrings....
I'd love to have a go at making one as a Christmas pressie - does anyone here remember them, or seen one on a website and can point me in the directions of a picture if not a set of insturctions?
Regards
Kate

Hi katieowl,
I searched but couldn't find any instructions, but I was able to find a picture of one that maybe you could copy? Helpful Household Dolly

Brilliant Pink-winged!!! Thats almost it.... I've been searching all day!!!! The ones I remember were more gypsy looking....I thought they had a spoon in! I did find these though:

Both of which have some potential I think!
Thanks

Katieowl,
Those links look good. I love the soap basket!
Could you fix a wooden spoon to her other side?

Well I'm nicking a corner of a mate's stall in a London market a couple of weekends before Xmas, so I'll take some of these along with the other stuff I am making....Need to put a label on them - Lots of the USA sites that have these jokey things have little poems attached...needs to say also "this is not a toy"
