ipod shuffle out for £69

Options
the ipod shuffle is out
£69 for 512
£99 for 1gb
seems like a great price for this amount of storage especially if you get the same sound quality as a normal ipod.
available at pcworld, apple and amazon.

not sure if this is the actual price or if it will be going up soon

NOTE: it seems from the apple website that the shuffle only plays songs randomly - not sure if i am right about this

This has been out since mid-january. This is the standard price and will not be going up, as such this isn't posted in the right place. If you look at other mp3 players with built in storage, this is pretty competively priced. Not that I'll be getting one.

Does anyone know if these support MP3, WMA or is it just Apples propriety format?

    Cheers

Argh thanks. I assume its easy to use, as I want to get one for my daughter for her birthday. I was thinking of getting a mp3 pen drive as I have a 512mb but we know what kdis are like they need the brand name, cant quite streched to a ipod mini.

As you already use iTunes it couldn't be simpler.

It does support normal MP3 but as Ronnie said it will do on the fly conversions to a smaller Apple format if you need to cram more on.
  • Good size too

I got my 1gb one a few weeks ago. Tis very good, although it's a tad annoying not having a screen so you don't know what song you're on.
