An outfit for a bear.....

Options
Im going to a one year old's 1st birthday party - teddy bears picnic and there is a competition for the best dressed bear.

I have a steiff who was going to be my companion! but was wondering if anyone had any ideas for an easy costume i can make?

Could it not go as a erm teddy bear in the nude ;)

What about a mac, galoshes type thing and have him dress as pasddington bear with a suitcase ? I guess you cvan get yellow plastic cheapo tablecovers from pound shops, that might do???
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

  • how about saving some loo roll tubes popping em over the bears arms and legs and covering them in tin foil. a box covered in foil over his head with a window cut out and ta dah a space man. cheap and your recycling. you could een attach a few odds and ends for his space equipment.

    you should post a piccy.

    hope it helps

why not just use baby / dolls clothing from a charity shop ?
  • Dress him as a picnic then he would be a teddy bear picnic.
Cut a piece of checked table cloth fabric into a rectangle and then a hole for
his head to go through. If you can get hold of plastic food or a dolls tea set items from a charity shop all the better. Or maybe make fake food out of felt.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

  • How about a clowns costume made from Jeye cloths?
