Just double-check that none of them are going for £3.99 at Woolies first!

There are all kinds of rumours flying around that Sony is about to ditch UMD as a movie format, so I suspect we could see a number of retailers offloading stock like this.

Sony are certainly having to slash UMD prices to maintain any kid of sustained interest in the format, and several studios have discontinued UMD releases altogether after disappointing sales.

    exactly

good find by the way, ms01ma
  • ms01ma - do you know if any of the other remaining UMD's (ie. £7.99 + £6.99) in Woollies are going to be reduced to £3.99.

Why was it only certain titles and not all?
Some days you're the bird......and some days you're the statue
  • hi i think it depends on sell through i know they are going well at 6+7.99 - however the space it sits in will go over to other offers for xmas as there are very low sales per sq ft on these lines

it all depends on company sell through the 3.99 ones were the companies most overstocked titles (blackpool had over 30 harry potters despite never ever selling one - all gone now)

the PSP keeps climbing whilst the UMD's drop. Its understandable seeing how easy it is to copy your DVDs to the PC and convert.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

Sorry didnt mean to offend, just thought it odd that you posted another psp film deal which on the face of it didnt look as good as the woollworths one, again sorry if i am wrong.

Woolworths in Lowestoft, Yarmouth, Beccles and Norwich still had some £3.99 titles yesterday but some still had price tickets of £21.99 but scan at £3.99
