I don’t think anyone could claim to know EVERYTHING about Argos, but all of the Argos regulars may have information that is useful to someone else. Perhaps if we use this thread to post possible answers to ‘newbie’ enquiries that ARE NOT stock-related, whether it is a store code, or a non 0870 store phone no. or even (as Benji suggested) a list of stores local to MSE’rs that they are willing to at least collect from.

Stumpy has a web-site here
(link shortenend)

She has a list of current and recent RO (sale/clearance) stock and also has other helpful information to do with Argos

The main home page for the current RO lists is here

For help on what "RO" means, how to find the shops, what telephone numbers to ring and, hopefully, a comprehensive guide on all you need to know, click HERE!!

Valiant (whispers out the corner of her mouth!) - is this okay, or would you prefer I did a bit of copy 'n pasting to here!!? :D

Stumpy, your web-site ;) covers practically everything, but...(fears for things in range due to lack of knee-caps), ah forget it you got everything covered!!!:D

I did wonder why there wasn't a link to your site on the forum list.

I think it just sort of evolved - started off just as a list of codes, and most people had links in their signature lines, so there wasn't much need - and of course most of us fairly much knew what was what until that newspaper article put us in the limelight :D

Anyway, if I've missed anything off that you, or anyone else, thinks would be helpful, just give me a hollar and I'll see what I can do :)

Not wanting to step on Valiants toes, does anyone think it would be useful to have a sticky with all the Argos store phone no's and codes - as per above? If those members wishing to be part of the Argos find/pick up service, they could list those stores local to them - it may then help when people are trying to source items.

    Just a suggestion.
