A DFW pat on the back...I think it's in order!

Having been on here for a few months now, I am amazed at the people here...the kindness, willingness to help others, and frankly, theres always someone here who'll give you a hug when you need one.

So in honour of this, I propose 2 things...

For all DFWs to give themselves a pat on the back - switiching on that lightbulb is hard to do....

And to say a special thank you to another DFW that has inspired/helped/motivate you on your long journey....

I'll begin lol...Thankyou SouthernScouser...for calling me sexy ;) and for always giving others encouragement

    What a lovely idea!

Firstly - Looking Ahead (you know why - thanks xxx).

Fishface_69 for the pics (I love your kitty cat), lynsyjane for the music, ehallett for some great ideas, kathfisch for the giggles (where are you, girl?), Freebird for the shared Ray obsession and the hoots of laughter.

Lots more, but I can't think right now.

You're all flipping superstars in my eyes - thanks.

  • Thanks in particular go from me to toto, who in airing her (his?) thoughts on her own circumstances around two months ago, unknowingly helped me put my own thoughts in order. Thanks in general to absolutely everyone :)

Laurajayne for such a lovely thread

  • what a great idea! Bit like the DFW Oscars...and the gold award goes to....Firstly Martin & the board guides for all their hard work & passion, not just for the DFW's but also saving us money all over the place & for spreading the word! Loads of people/posts have really touched me since I had my rck bottom. People like Mol, Scottish Spendaholic, Obi, Eltan, Minnie, Ali & Mia have all given me support & encouragement that I really, seriously could not have done without. There are others who I know less but still help along the way (too many to name!!) and have provided tales of struggle, sucess, falling off the wagon & some great ideas along the way. Of course to SS for making me laugh on various occasions - although I do wish someone would give me a link to the car mat discussion as I'm clearly missing something!! Thanks all. Keep it up. Togeather we CAN get debt free!

like most i'd thank most of the guys on here, there are one or two who tend to not be as helpful as they could, i shall not name names since this thread is for positive things.

there are two dfw'rs who have helped me above and beyond,

minnie spender for all the help with the cv and encouragement on both men and work! your a superstar!

and mcbirnie for all the work/legal type help and for generally making me laugh when i feel a bit crap which, to be frank, has been a lot quite recently!

    love ya both xx
  • i want to say thanks to you all as even if i dont acknowledge your posts they are all great but i want to say a big thankyou and a hug hug8ok.gif to lynzpower as she was the one mostly (although lots of you helped too) who helped me become debtfree and i bet she is an inspiration to most of us... your day will come soon lyn :D
