Wouldn’t say that was a bargain.

PCWorld have the ADVENT - SLIMLINE WIRELESS OPTICAL DESKTOP (76195)

for £14.97 plus others. The original Argos price is ridiculous

I purchased this set on Friday, The photo on the argos site doesn't do the set justice, It's much nicer looking, (Grey and Silver), The mouse charger is great (no more hunting the house for spare batteries lol), I'm well impressed with it.

I have just tested this out I managed about 3m (straight line, nothing blocking the signal, walls etc)

I also went into another room shut the door and my back turned to the receiver (which is also your battery/mouse charger) and it still worked, this was at about 1.5m

I had one of these a year or so ago - it was reduced to about £30 then in their sale from supposedly £70.
Be aware - It has a very flat soft keyboard like a laptop - might look neat but personally I didn't like it much in use - certainly wouldn't pay £70 for it. Anyway the keys started sticking and some stopped working so I got a Microsoft 1000 set for £20 from Amazon (as highlighted on this forum)

Still as you can't do much on a PC without either - for the price it will probably be acceptable.

  • I also had one of these nearly 2 years ago.. they were on offer at £15.. I found them cheap quality and not much good..
  • Hi Folks,

I have/had a Logitech internet pro wireless mouse & keyboard from when i purchased my packard bell pc - the mouse works fine - but the keyboard has died of death. Thus am looking for a new keyboard, and have some Argos vouchers to spend.
This advertised set is available in my local store, and would like some advice if it is worth the money, or is there a better value set available from Argos?

Many thanks in andvance for your comments.

It really depends on what you like, i like the flat compact keyboard which is very quiet, i like the fact that the mouse is rechargeable. The delete key is tiny and there is no adjustment to the height of the keyboard its flat and thats it, also its one plug into usb which i didnt expect and f keys have no symbols which im used to. The mouse is good fast and responsive and feels compact.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
