What's the deal?
Spend £50 instore or online at Sainsbury's and you'll get a voucher giving 5p/litre off the price of petrol.
Is it worth it?
If you normally shop in Sainsbury of course. It's equivalent to roughly £2 off a full tank of petrol. However it's not worth shopping specifically at Sainsbury for it, especially if its more expensive to shop there than your normal supermarket.
Terms and Conditons
Vouchers will be given out up until 30 August 2006 and can be used up to 2 weeks after this. One voucher per transaction. You don't get a voucher for every £50 you spend (so you wouldn't get two for a £100 spend) but you will get one for each transaction over £50. The offer's open nationwide. It's valid on a maximum of 100 litres petrol.

The last Tesco petrol discount offer ended a while ago. They were not offering any vouchers for this when I last visited - check their website ? I think it applied to petrol & diesel.
If your vehicle is out of warranty you might consider bio-diesel but be aware of possible quality control issues.A few car manufacturers will allow new cars to be run on bio-d. but some say " only up to 5%" - how do they regulate that I wonder?0 -
Sainsburys vouchers are also taken on diesel.

And as sainsburys have dropped the price of petrol to 92.9p a litre you get an even better deal with using the voucher.

Apparantly if you sign up for an Asda creditcard, they reduce the petrol by 2p a litre if you use the card.
