EEk I have just had some workmen in the house who decided to use the loo. No only did they leave pee over the toliet pan but down the toilet bowl and on the vinyl
Yuk ! What is the best way to clean it and get rid of the smell. I have stardrops, starclean & bicarbinate- but will willing buy what ever I need !!

    Lovely, I think not !!!!

I would buy a bottle of disinfectant, dosn't have to be anything fancy I wouldn't have thought.

Put some in a bowl with really hot water, boil the kettle to get it really hot water, and wash down with that.

    I'm sure that will do.

I'd complain to their boss about their filthy habbits
  • Definately complain! - I was about to suggest getting the builder back to clean it up himself ;) - but if he is that messy he probably wouldn't do a good job of it:rolleyes:
Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.

    Hi
Well having a 13 year old boy I know exactly where you are coming from - he always denies all knowledge all I can say is the fairies in our house are dirty creatures!.

I use stardrops/ flash or dettol fresh. I sometimes go over with a bit of bio washing powder. I put bicarb on the floor of the downstairs loo yesterday and that after first cleaning worked a treat. Left it down for a few hours and smells sweet again. I am fussy about smell.

According to my OH, you can't get any direction on it until you're about 18 ! I have 2 boys so am familiar with this vile habit. I just wipe round every day with a damp cloth or cheap babywipe.

Btw my mum reports that my dad is developing this habit because he can't see properly

    I accept no excuses.

You poor thing! I had a disaster once when a bloke came round to fit a blind and trod dog poo all in the carpet. I demanded reimbursment from the company and got it, and free blind too. How about bleach? I would give him (and the company) a right earful too.

Thanks for all your kind replys and amusing ones. Unfortunately it was the council who were round so they do have a dont care less policy. The only looked about 17 ! so maybe the theory of
you can't get any direction on it until you're about 18
    might hold up !
The toilet pan is such a big hole -Im at a loss why they miss it  never mind mop up and move on.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Get a professional cleaner in and sent them the bill - lesson to be learned for the future, advise all workmen that they need to bring their own urinal and receptical when they come in future!

HAving worked for the council I think that if you complained to the area Housing Manager you are more likely to get an apology than from a local buider. Is your cat a Birman or a Raggy?

Theres a product on the market called Germclear which is available in those cheapy shops all towns have with all the plastic boxes outside. It gets rid of all yukky smells. But I would also write and complain. You might get a discount!!
