This is a home trial, so they will make us pay. My brother had a similar issue with some disney books, it resulted in a big problem but ended with us returning the books.

I agree with mrs2fat, don't go near grolier, I signed with them a few years ago, had the books for a while then tried to cancel them (was cancel at any time), they kept sending me them and also kept sending the latest collections to me, I had constant phone calls from them and nothing but harassment - it ended up where I had a pile of post from them in my shed that they had to send someone to collect as I refused to do a RTS on anymoer as they kept denying receiving the goods back and kept invoicing me - for the sake of a bowl and a spoon, try matalan (no offence at ALL to OP), grolier really are not worth looking at IMHO.

well I have just had my free Disnney books from them and am returing the 2 they send you on trial with a letter to terminate my membership... I think after redaing this it will be recorded delivery.. at least they do not ask for your bank details up front so they have no access to just taking anything from you.

They are such a nightmare company... not worth the free bowl and I love freebies.
  • I have to say I got my cars book fine, just binned all the junk they sent.

I got the cars book and took up their offer of a free Space book. When I received I rang up, cancelled, asked for post paid sticker. I received this two days later along with a proof of posting slip. They said hang onto proof for three months. I have never had a problem with these.

Never had a problem with them - have used them several times in the past, both for freebies and complete sets

Waiting on the Cars book at the moment - is the Space book offer with it? Eldest would be really interested in that one

It's a shame, it looked like a good freebie, but not worth the hassle that you describe. I can't deal with junk and annoying phonecalls from companies
