free mini radio from AA insurance

I received a letter from theAAteam saying that if I phone 0800 197 1387 and have a quote for car insurance they will send me a mini radio - you need to quote ref. 521. It looks to be one of those little pocket sized radios, ok as freebie. The letter also says that if they run out of radios they will send you something of equivalent value. Will take up to 28 days for it to be delivered...........

Thanks for the post.
Anyone tried this successfully?0 -
I've phoned up for a quote and I'm waiting for the postman now ! You initially get through to an automated service and you need to choose the option where your renewal date is within 30 days or they won't give you a quote and cut you off ! I thought I'd have a quote anyway but was most surprised when the girl said I had to agree to have the car insurance there and then, would not send out the paperwork to look at as they are 'discount brokers'. Got to say it put me off dealing with them..........0

i forgot about the mini radio when ringing them :wall: they were the cheapest i could find for my renewal, and thats saying something as i usually ring every freephone number in the yellow pages for a quote!
damn missed out on the free radio :doh:0 -
Do you have to buy the car insurance or just get a quote?0

You will only need to get a quote to qualify for the free gift and if by chnace the AA do come up cheapest then go via Greasy Palm and get yourself another £10 in cashbackV_Chic_Chick wrote:Do you have to buy the car insurance or just get a quote?Peteraj.
Trying hard to save money and trying to help friends do the same by finding the real "Moneysaving" bargains and avoiding companies that take my custom for granted.0 -

Why not ask for another quote and use the mini radio ref this time. If they ask why you are asking again so soon then just say you wanted to change a minor detail(such as excess or expected miles driven during the year)greenstreetprince wrote:i forgot about the mini radio when ringing them :wall: they were the cheapest i could find for my renewal, and thats saying something as i usually ring every freephone number in the yellow pages for a quote!
