Just thought this might help any struggling with mental illness, depression and anxiety or even those that are not.
"If you believe that feeling bad or worrying long enough will change a past or future event, then you are residing on another planet with a different reality system". Dr Wayne W Dwyer
"It isn't the experience of today that drives men mad. It is the remorse for something that happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow may disclose" Robert Jones Burdette
"If you have one foot in yesterday and the other in tomorrow you P155 on today" a fellow inpatient at a psychiatric hospital.
Guilt and worry serve no purpose. Unfortunately "society" leads us to feel that we are better people for feeling these useless emotions. Dealing with issues and moving forward is IMO the best way to live.
Next time you feel one of those emotions just think to yourself "I can choose not to feel guilt/worry, nothing will happen to me if I don't feel guilty/worried but if I choose not to feel these emotions then I can just get on and move forward, enjoy today, deal with today's business.
Most of the time we become frustrated by things that are outside of our control for instance the wind is blowing, it's raining but there is absolutely nothing we can do about this, this is mother nature. So accept it and move on. All we can really do is accept those things that are outside of our control eg. not being solvent and get on and deal with the things that we can control by finding a way out or a solution i.e bankruptcy.
The next step learn from your mistakes, learn new things eg budgeting, financial planning and making sure you get the best deals. Move on, accept your mistakes, learn by them, give yourself a break and a pat on the back and get on with your life, enjoy it
I hope this helps, it helps me.

Welcome
I learned to switch off these emotions, although not 100% of the time but I will one day have a guilt and worry free life. Hope many will join me. It about time we challenged some of "societies" unspoken rules and expectations!0 -
Thanks for sharing these, could be really useful
