  • Incredible, when I was a young teenager (not that long ago, I'm 22 now), I got £5 a week. But to get that I had to contribute to all household chores throughout the week or I wouldn't get it. As soon as I turned 16, I was told if I wanted money I'd have to take a part time job and earn it.

    By just dishing out money to kids, they're not going to learn the value of money...
