UK mortgage approvals fall to nine-month low

mortgage approvals numbered 47,094 in February, down from from 48,099 in January and well below the figure of almost 60,000 reached in November when people were rushing to take advantage of a temporary reduction in property purchase tax.

TBH I don't see how they get as many approvals as July last year as proof of a slowing market?
If it was down YOY I would agree but in reality it is up nearly 30% on this time last year. So in reality we are going to see more sales this year. It is still not boom but is way up on this time last year.0 -
