02 Open Simplicity Tarrif 300 mins , unlim text £10 mth £100 cashback free phone

*only applies if you have a O2 Open discount card*

A heads up to anyone with the above discount card

Just been off the phone to the local O2 store as getting a phone for my dad, it sounded too good to me true so i phoned another store and they said the same !

The deal is £10 a month sim only (12 month contract) , 300 mins, unlimited text, and from tomorrow free Samsung E2120 or Nokia 1680 and £100 cashback is credited to your account so cost over 12 months is £20 or £1.66 a month

You can choose any simplicity tarrif and get £100 back but the savings are bigger on the lower tarrifs

Instore only !

You have to work for one of the qualifying companies such as McDonalds, John Lewis ect. Ask your HR department.

Can you then withdraw that £100 credit from your account (so the contract does actually cost £20/year) or do you have to spend it on o2 items? (in which case it has still cost you £120)

  • My Timeline having seen this on HUKD nearly one month ago:

    Feb 26th Order Sim
    Feb 27th No QuidCo Tracking
Feb 28th I load query where is my tracked QuidCo
No Sim nor QuidCo for two weeks....
March 8th Sim finally arrives, I activate it and transfer my number over same day (was O2 PAYG),
Today March 22nd, my 14day cooling period is up, no tracked QuidCo, £5 M&S voucher did come earlier, spent already. No idea if I'll get my QuidCo I can't make official enquiry until March 31st, will post reply when resolved.

Its INSTORE only and the cashback is direct from o2 , think you are getting confused with another deal ;)

No you cant withdraw the £100, it gets added to your account as a credit then as you are billed each month it takes some of it away, so it only costs £20 for the year as long as you keep in your call limits.

    Month 1 £100cr - £10 = £90cr
    Month 2 £90cr - £10 = £80cr
    Month 3 £80cr - £10 = £70cr

    Etc Etc
