Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

  • Afternoon budgeteers,

I have just finished another red week . I am going to try and hardest to stay green this week as I can slowly feel myself slipping into spending when there is no need. Not got much planned this week so hopefully this should be relatively easy, I am hoping to stay under £20.

I have updated the first first with results and pledges let me know if I have missed anything

Missed last week's challenge (not sure why!) but am in again for this week.

Am pledging £10 for this week - need to try to spend as little as possible as March is going to be a very tight month!!!

  • ok after my APPALING week last week I am going to pretend todays spends don't exist.

So for next week (starting tomorrow) Monday - Sunday I am going for £50. That way when I end the week only having spent £20 I will be proper pleased with myself rather then pledging £20 and spending £30 (if that makes sense).

    So £50 please.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Oh... I think this is just what I need! I spend way to much on unnecessary sweets & crisps although Internet shopping is my weakness! Can I sign up for £50 as the car in need of some petrol! Might even add a signature!
