Have to say the only way I ever seem to "rescue" this situation is with the tumble dryer. Sorry.

Try one of those sticky lint rollers you can buy in pound shops?

Have you got a tumble dryer? If the fleeces are tumbleable (?) that will collect most of the fluff in the filter.

Otherwise give the fleeces a jolly good shake (or make the kids do it!) when they are almost dry, then wash again (without any powder - no need) and hope for the best!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

    I'm guilty of that :o

I wash them again, sometimes there's still tiny bits of tissue though so I put them in the dryer for 10 mins on the cool setting, seems to suck all the bits off lol.

Yep I use tumble dryer as well, put one item in a time. Keep checking filter!

I did that the other day! There's nothing you can do while the stuff is still wet, but it comes off easy enough when it's dry or nearly dry, like everyone else has said :) send 'em out to give the fleeces a good shake.
