What is your favourite dish? I am looking for inspiration as my meal plans for the past few weeks are very repetative.
I enjoy cooking but like simple recipes as I always have two toddler 'helping' me to cook.

Quesedilas are great for an easy veggie meal
Lentil Daals are lovely but they are time consuming
Veggie crepes

stuffed mushrooms
If you're interested in any I'll post the recipies. My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

Lentil Daals, Veggie crepes and stuffed mushrooms please. I have done Quesedilas for lunch but would like ideas of what to put in them if you have any.
Recipes like Daal are idea as they can be made in advance and warmed up at the last minute if I'm in a hurry to get to work. I guess it would freeze well too.

On my shopping list I have ingrediants for:
Pizzas/Coleslaw (homemade except Pizza base)
Tortellini with a homemade sauce and cheese/breadcrumbs
Sweet and sour with brown rice (cheating and buying sauce as I don't have a recipe)
Homemade beanburgers (I made one recipe from here but am trying a new one)
Homemade veg curry from the freezer
New spuds, fresh veg and veggie sauage rollsNevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
i make veggie cottage pie (i can give you the recipe for any of these if you like)
roasted veg pasta (which is gorgeous!) and very easy with mustard and creme fraiche. its lush
veg fajitas - using onions, peppers, courgettes, aubergine and quorn pieces.
i love veg quesedillas and use peppers oinions courgettes and quorn pieces in them
for quick dinners i have beanfeast chilli and brown rice or beafeast spag bol and garlic bread and spaghetti! cheap and quick dinner!
i have a lovely recipe for cashew nut paella too -mmmmmmm my fave!0 -
Could I have the veg pasta and the paella recipes please. I'd have to blitz the nuts for the kids portion though as they are a choking risk. I don't really use quorn/soya, I prefer veg. We have Linda Mc Sausages/sausage but thats it. I'm not keen on the meaty texture.
Fajiitas is one of the things which we have over and over again. I make refried beans using red onion/cumin/chilli/lime juice/kidney beans and have those in wraps with cheese, sour cream, red onions and peppers.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
I'm not a vegetarian but love vegetables and pulses, so I've always done lots of non-meat dishes. Some favourites:
-- ratatouille served with olives and French bread
-- gazpacho
-- potato and split pea soup (Italian)
-- Indonesian rice table dishes, including tofu satay
-- egg curry
-- banana curryContext is all.

Have you looked at Mamta's Kitchen she's also got a forum so if you get stuck on a recipe you can just ask and she'll sort you out.
While not strictly vegetarian The World's Healthiest foods has lots of good veggie ideas and is very fruit and veg based. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Fav but can take a bit of time is risotto (especially with blue cheese) - but nice with just mushrooms too.
I love spanish omlette too - try an alternative though and do a greek style one with feta, baby toms and olives - lovely!
Of course pasta pasta pasta!!! With spinach and mushrooms, with chilli and garlic with anything!!!
With it being BBQ season I've been doing lots of stuffed peppers. For speed use cous cous instead of rice with stock cube / spices bits of veg and pine nuts / sultanas - yummy!!!
Salad and jacket potato - love fennel and orange in a salad.
Feeling hungry - think I better leave it there!
Enjoy!0
