Welcome finance!

HI! :j

Me and my hubby took out a loan with welcome finance in 2008. the loan was for £3500. After already paying back £3600 i rang today for a settlement figure and almost fainted when they wanted another £3375 to settle!!!! OMG!

Help!!!!!!

I have managed to save £2000 and have offered them it as a settlement figure that was realistic to me! God knows if they are going to except it!

We are trying our best to get out of debt but these companies seem to relish in our misery!!

Awaiting a call back with their decision, this should be good for a laugh!!

Anyone got any ideas where to go next if they decline my offer????

Thanks!

  • If you are up to date on payments i dont know what they will accept, but they are trying to get in as much money as possible as they are in financial trouble so you may be able to barter with them.

If you are in arrears i *think* you have more chance of getting a good settlement figure as they would rather have something than nothing..doesnt make sense for them to sell to a DCA or pay a DCA a % when you are offering a sum to them here and now

Let us know how you go with them when they respond!

On the bright side, they havent said NO straight off so must at least be considering your offer, or looking into what the can accpet
  • hiya, thanks for replying!

sorry, atwitsend, I had a shock at my figure, its appalling! Good luck with yours!

Brians Daughter, whats happening with welcome,? i went on their website last night and it said they werent lending to new customers! I am not in arrears at the moment but have told them there could be problems in the future if they dont except my offer
