Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

Hi pointypenguin....I was green last week:Tand put the remaining money into various 'pots'. Am pledging £30 for this week - I've got a day off later in the week and am going shopping with my mum - so that'll mean buying lunch/coffee. Any other spending I do that day will be budgeted for (DS's birthday pressies, spending remainder of my birthday money...) so am hoping I'll manage to keep on track...good luck everyone x

Yikes - late declaring again - I spent £14.02 last week, just sneaking in as green.

This weeks target, which includes a night out with a friend is £26.26. Started with a NSD yesterday.

£8.37 spent already! Bezzie mate is coming to see me though, so we'll have lunch at my house and save a load of money so should be ok!

Please can I join? I have only just found this thread, but drastically need to control my incidental spending.

Please can you put me down for £10 for the week. I don't have any plans for going out this week, so hope I won't struggle too much.

PS My waistline could also benefit from fewer chocolate bars!

Hi everyone, sorry for signing up late and failing to report back at the end of last week.

Last week I was green, DS had 4 teeth extracted on Friday, ouch, so £4 from the toothfairy.

This week I know will include spends, but not sure how much also possibly a small spend on Thursday or Friday so I think I'll up my budget to £15.
