Pothole Poem Competition
I wandered lonely as a pothole...?
Here at Potholes.co.uk, we’re always keen to hear your stories – whether it’s your tales of encounters with the dreaded craters, or outpourings of anger over the state of our roads.
But, with a new decade being ushered in, we thought we’d also appeal to your more creative side and ask you to put your experiences, feelings and emotions into pothole prose for our first Potholes.co.uk poetry competition.
But, in a twist on the traditional 14-line sonnet, we’d like your poems to fit succinctly within the 140 characters of a Twitter post, to tie in with our own @potholesuk news feed.
You can enter the competition on Twitter, using the hashtag #pothole or #potholes somewhere within your finely-crafted words. Or you can enter your poem by clicking here.
We’ll collect all the entries in and judging will be on March 1. The top three entries will each win an iPod Touch.
