As a 'rough' indicator of where worldwide rates may be in a 12mths time, LIBORs aren't a bad indicator....
Here is some food for thought.
In the past 3mths....
12mths USD LIBOR has FALLEN by 37 basis points
12mths GBP LIBOR has RISEN by 13 basis points
12mths EUR LIBOR has FALLEN by 4 basis points
12mths JPY LIBOR has FALLEN by 8 basis points
12mths AUD LIBOR has FALLEN by 19 basis points
12mths NZD LIBOR has FALLEN by 4 basis points
12mths CAD LIBOR has FALLEN by 30 basis points
12mths SEK LIBOR has FALLEN by 7 basis points
12mths DKK LIBOR has FALLEN by 4 basis points
make of that what you will

If I were you I'd PM misskool and ask her how to get preapproval for your link... there is a way to do it, but I've forgotten.
Have you any funky charts with Libor rates over the last year or three.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Anyone able to explain why GBP libors are the only ones to have risen, whereas everywhere else has fallen?
& what (if any) implications are there for us?It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Inflation. Everywhere else that matters is in deflation, or disinflation.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Inspector, I do not wish to put words into your mouth...
However, is there an implied sense in your post that IR's in the UK are likely to rise, whereas that likelihood is less in the rest of the world?

nothing i am implying, just facts and figures.....
i still firmly believe that rates will not rise at least for another year
bottom line is, GBP 12mth LIBOR probably went too low 3mths ago
looking at the data another way...
USD 12mth LIBOR is currently 88 basis pts above base rate of 0.00pct
GBP 12mth LIBOR is currently 77 basis pts above base rate of 0.50pct
EUR 12mth LIBOR is currently 20 basis pts above base rate of 1.00pct
AUD 12mth LIBOR is currently 158 basis pts above base rate of 3.75pct
so we're pretty much in the line with the middle of things i would say...Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
