Hey, I got this breadmaker from Argos with some Xmas money, it was £38.99 at the time, but its since gone up to same price of £44.99 until 22/01/10, but maybe it will go down again? Trouble with the Argos one is you're not forced to get the one in the picture, text states "You may receive a substitute of similar specification, but which is cosmetically different." As it turned out, I got this one which is more expensive than the one in the picture, but I don't know if it would be the same everywhere or depends what stock they have left.
Here's the link if anyone wants to keep an eye on it to see if it goes down on Friday.

NOT BUYING IT! 2015 - A Consumer Holiday.

I lurveeeeeeeee my breadmaker, had it 3 months now and have never bought shop bread since.
Its so easy, perfect bread every time, pput it on at night and we have fresh warm fruit loaf for brekkie, put it on at lunch time and we have warm bread with our tea.
I'll be gutted if it ever breaks.
Not that expensive to make a loaf either.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Did a quick search and this is just a model renumber to fool people into thinking it's better than it's not and that it's a bargain - the exact same model is available at amazon (though it's white) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00275FV5K/ref=s9_simi_gw_s0_p79_t1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=07F7971S1JBJ64JH60YZ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467198433&pf_rd_i=468294 for £51.03 inc free delivery.
This sort of thing does annoy me - the post was prob planted by Morphy Richards - cynical? Just a bit0 -

I'm a genuine memberI just thought it would be helpful to post what I (imho) thought was a bargain at less than half price.
If you look at my post count I would think it would be apparent I wasn't someone from MR, obviously not0 -
I agree that this is a great offer that is highly recommended by owners! I have ordered one and look forward to amazing bread every day!! Thanks0

I've got an older version of this, which I actually got second hand, and it is amazing. It makes great bread and has options for dough (for rolls, naan bread etc), cakes, jam etc. I've only once had a bad loaf from it, and that was because my scales broke and I had too much flour in it.
I buy organic flour and still save lots of money by not buying bread from the shops. I totally recommend the book Bread Machine Kitchen Handbook by Jennie Shapter. It is so easy to make lovely stuff with very little effort and you'll be buying flour rather than bread from then on - (almost) guaranteed!
Actually, just realised my recommended book is out of print, but get one secondhand if you can. Otherwise the recipes in the Morphy Richards instruction book are very good to get you started.0 -
I think this is the same one that Morphy Richards are selling for £29.99 on ebay, I can't post a link as I'm new, but look up seller MorphyRichards and it's the Muti-use Fastbake breadmaker.
It's white, but looks like the same model, the silver one was £38.99 but sold out this morning, and looks the same to me.Wins so far:£100 M&S Voucher, £10 Mama's & Papa's Voucher, £50 Mother Care Voucher, £50 Very Voucher, £65 dining out Voucher, 3 months of Purina Cat food, cinema tickets, silk scarf, Frusli bars,

I've got an ancient one that I got second hand too, like you only had one bad result which was due to me messing up the ingredients.
I use Lidl bread flour or Carrs Breadmaker flour
I'll keep my eye out for the book, thanks0
