    I've tried every single day during the holidays for Leicester and it gives and alternate time of 10am which is full price. Does anyone know how long this offer has been advertised as we have never had a problem booking 1p bowling before and can't understand why it's all booked up? Is anyone else having problems?

    My bowl is booking fine.

    I think it comes up with 10am as the default. There should be a drop down menu to change it to 9am. It does say the full price but also says ' you may be eligible for the following' & shows the penny offer. Make sure you are putting the dates down that are covered by your bowl.

    Also everyone please note - if you book it & dont turn up, they charge your card for the full rate - you must cancel rather than do a no-show.

    We've done this the last few holidays & it's brilliant.

    I rang Hollywood Bowl yesterday and was told that the website had not "caught up" with the offer yet and to keep trying.

    It's still not working today but I have noticed that some of you have managed to book...how have you done this and where have you managed to book it?

    I dont know what you're doing - I just tried to book for the 20th & 21st at Leicester & it worked fine for me. I put in for 9am, it gives alternative times but you dont need to change to them, just carry on with the booking.
    Keep trying.

    I just tried Leicester too and found every day available to book. Maybe they have just updated it? Here is an example.
    hollywood bowl Leicester
    Date: Saturday 19th December 2009
    Preferred start time: 09:20 (24 hour clock)
    Adults: 2
    Juniors: 2
    Number of games: 1
    Lanes required: 1
    Price Guide* £13.00
    You may qualify for the following offer: Bowl for 1p per game!
    This offer is for a max of 12 attendees of whom only 2 may be adults. This offer is valid for online bookings on Monday to Sunday during the Christmas holidays for bookings starting between 9am and 9.30am.
    Terms and Conditions Apply
    Price Guide* £0.04

    It does give the price guide of 1p at the bottom and the higher price further up, but this is usual and just a reminder that if you do not start your game before 9.30am you would not be entitled to the offer.
