Hello, a friend of mine had to move into a nursing home this year at the grand age of 25. She is confined to bed and is able to do very little or have visitors for more than a few mins. She asked if some of her friends would do her a paper snowflake (like you make as a child) and put your name on them for the staff to decorate her room with. I'm trying to get lots of people to do them though in the hope of decorating her room beautifully and letting her know people care :)

I wondered if any of you could help please? You can do a standard snowflake or decorate them how ever creatively you like :) I would like to send them off by the 2nd so need them sent by the end of month if possible.

They will reach me if you send them to Vikki, Post Pals, PO Box 278, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT23 4WN

Thank you,

  • This is an absolutely lovely idea, could you let us know her name so we can put it on the snowflake? I'll definately be up for making one, I always make loads of them to decorate my house with at Christmas, makes me feel like a kid again :D
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Okay - paper snowflake - is that where you fold up a piece of paper and then tear or cut out shapes?

If so, then I can do that!

    Okay - I've made two.

They are rubbish considering my age, but I'm not very arty. Will post them off tomorrow.
