Barclays to Woolwich: payment processing time? Also: view mortgage on-line?

First question - payment processing times:
Are payments from Barclays accounts (specifically a Mortgage Reserve Account) to Woolwich mortgages treated as internal transfers - are they done instantly?

I ask because my Woolwich mortgage sort code isn't enabled for Faster Payments, but my Barclays Mortgage Reserve account is - so if payments between them are instant, I could save myself a few days of interest by transferring my overpayments into Barclays first, rather than direct from another current account.

Second question - viewing a Woolwich mortgage on-line:
I'd really like to be able to see my Woolwich mortgage on-line, but when I asked Woolwich about this earlier this year, they said it wasn't possible. However I found this post:

Can anyone tell me if there mortgage and reserve loan shows on their on line banking?

Yes it does, on my online banking there is the woolwich at the bottom (you need to ask to get it added) and the reserve account is there as well

Can anyone confirm whether that means I could view my Woolwich mortgage balance through my Barclays on-line banking?

I asked a similar question some time ago this is the reply I got

We also have a Woolwich Tracker. You get a statement once a year in October. If you ring 08000224022 out of hours or on a weekend, the automated line will ask you a few questions and then give you an up to date balance. There is no facility with Woolwich/Barclays to see your balance online with their tracker type mortgages. Hope this helps. Remember the phone call is free!

I have a Woolwich offset mortgage and (obviously) bank with Barclays. If I make an overpayment on the mortgage, it takes a few days to go through, unlike transferring money from one Barclays account to another, which as you say is instants.

I can also view the mortgage balance online, although it only shows the outstanding balance, and no previous payment history. Seeing the mortgage may be a feature of the offset.

From the Barclays website
"Most new accounts you open will automatically be added to Online Banking.
You can get missing accounts included by calling the Online Banking Helpdesk on 0845 600 2323 (outside the UK dial +44 2476 842063)*. Lines are open Monday to Sunday 7am-11pm."

and

"If you're a personal customer, your Online Banking homepage shows all your main accounts with us and their balances.
If you have an Offset Mortgage or a Woolwich Flexible Mortgage bought via Barclays, these accounts will also be shown. There are some exceptions."

So you may need to phone to get it set up.
