my big day over!!

HI all
had my bankruptcy appointment yesterday which went rather smoothly, my mum came with me didn't have to see the judge as they said everything was on with my paperwork! :)
the OR called yesterday to verify details and told me that i would have a letter confirming an appointment with me which will be either face to face or over the phone.

this morning i had my official bankruptcy order, rather fast i thought!
although on the bottom it said : note to bankrupt : basically that i should attend the sheffield office as soon as this order was received and the opening hours???? should i ring them to see what this means??? or is this my appointment???? bit confused!!!

thanks in advance

    hi sam
first of all i am very glad yesterday went smoothly!
i got my bankruptcy order this morning too. mine says the same thing on it. i spoke to the or thursday who confirmed a date and time would come through the post. i think the bankruptcy order is just a standard document and i'm not going to do anything as i believe i am already in the process of arranging the interview
can anyone else confirm this is correct?
thanks and well done sam x

Congratulations!! I have no idea what the letter means as my court operated a different system and I got my BR number on the same day I went BR.

Hi yes this is a standard document and is patly a hang over from when you went to see the OR and everyone had a face to face interview. It also serves a purpose as creditors petitions (where someone else makes you bankrupt) use the same document and they may not be at the earing and probably wont know what they have to do.

You dont need to do anything until the OR conatcts you
