Tesco in store skincare reductions

Hi, my local tesco has loads of top brand skincare (l'oreal, Olay etc) at really silly low prices, some just a few pounds. The prices are shown on the shelf as ordinary pricing labels rather than the yellow ones, so you need to scan to see them, but as an example I got this: http://www.superdrug.com/Anti-Aging/LOREAL-REVITALIFT-COFFRET-DOUBLE-LIFTING-DAY+NIGHT-CREAM/invt/522635 for £4.23!!! There were various other reductions, hopefully it's nationwide. HTHS!

  • Few other items and prices - many more spotted on shelf:
L'Oreal Dermo Genesis Pore Minimising Serum: £3.66 (Boots £15.65)
L'Oreal Dermo Genesis Day Cream: £3.66 (Boots £15.65)
L'Oreal Age Re-Perfect Day and Night cream Twin Pack: £4.89 (About £25?)
Olay Complete Care Touch of Foundation £1.66 (Boots £9.99)

My receipt also mentions 3for2 beauty products, but no idea which ones it applies to!

I see what you mean - looking at my receipt I think they only took off the price of 1 item although I bought 6 skincare bits. However, it seems to have worked in my favour as it should probably have taken off 2 x £1.66 (cheapest items) = £3.32. Instead took off £3.66 = 1 of the higher priced items.

  • tesco 3 for 2 offer....further to the posts above, i also stocked up on some fab offers, 12 in all, hoping to get every 3rd one free...did not show up as a reduction so went to customer service and explained that i had bought them because of the great offer, pointed out leaflet which details exclusions and the lady toddled off to find out why they had not come off as they should have....seems the computer had not been set up to deduct the cheaper/reduced items eg derma genisis at £3.46 instead of £14.35...so to cut a long story short i got double the difference on my non deducted items ....£15 odd returned so paid £9 ish for about £50/60 worth of creams/lotions/potions....great deal....every little helps! By the way my items were not in clearance, just on usual shelf with skin care and with YELLOW price labels...may be store specific but still worth a look.

I took full advantage of this today.
Olay Total Effects Touch of Sunshine - rrp £18.59 tesco-£2.77
Garnier Vital Restore Eye - rrp £9.99 tesco-£1.88
Olay Total Effects First Effects rrp £16.63 tesco-£2.77
Only bought one of each to leave some for others, but after the 3 for 2 kicked in it meant I got £45.21 worth of goods for an amazing £5.54!!!
Great grabbit, many thanks OP :)

  • Olay Total Effects - Intensive Restoration Treatment, was £18 something, reduced down to £4.54, Tesco dont recognise it at the tills as part of the 3 for 2, so pay full price then pop over to customer services and claim back your double the difference so £4.54 for 3 of them  (for the wife obviously!)

Thanks so much for this OP.

I went this evening and spent £22, added up the RRP and it's worth £200! I intend to donate most of it to a pre-school charity auction so I'm really chuffed with this. :j
  • Had a look in my local Tesco today and everything is full price
