I never got the point in those stickers... can anyone explain?
If I am about to crash into the back of 2 cars and have to pick, it might be useful, but chances are, I'm not going to notice the sticker until I'm too close to change my mind anyway.0 -
Thanks for that. Just ordered 20 as I have 4 friends who are either pregnant or have just had babies and 2 of them run a Rainbows group so thought they could hand out accordingly.

Because it's important that other drivers are aware of the precious load you are carrying. That's like saying 'What's the point with a fire warning symbol on a fuel tanker'!1 John 4: 7 & 80

i got that poem in a fone message cookiesncream. Where did u hear it from?"There are two groups of people in the world:
Those who can be categorized into one of two
groups of people, and those who can't..."
I am sure than you can't be sure of anything apart from the fact that this statement is true.0 -

Can't remember, it was about 6 years ago though!1 John 4: 7 & 80 -
theyre not for other drivers, theyre for emergency services! if you put one up when youre driving with your baby and you crash and youre unconscious, the fire/ambulance will know to look for a baby if you cant tell them, thats the point, to save a babys life:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

An urban myth!
I'm sure this has been reported in an earlier thread on the same subject.
If you are really concerned about safety, keep clear of putting any sorts of stickers in any of the screens of a car, particularly the rear windscreen - you need as much unobscured visibility as you can get, front, side, and back, and these wretched things are a hazard, not a help.0 -

It IS an urban myth. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/babysign.htm
All services are trained to look for individuals whether there is a sign there or not. If that were the case then you would have to take the sign out every single time you went out without your little one. And we would also have signs saying how many babies/children/oaps/people were in the car too. It is to make other drivers aware although all drivers should be aware of other cars no matter who is in them. They were and are a great money making idea based on peoples fears. Although it is nice to see the silly ones too!

I'm with you on this one the sticker on the car in front does not make me drive any differently, if I was a bad driver I'd be just as likely to crash into them. I think they are there to signal to other drivers that the driver will not be fully concentrating on the road as they have a baby/toddler in the car. Before I get flamed for this please let me say I have a toddler and am forever taking my eyes off the road to see what he is up to in the back! Maybe I should have a sticker. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
