Hi,
I would like to run my local half marathon on 29th November!
I am scared! will i be able to train intime?
I used to do lots of running, but have never run this far?
I did the 5k race for life wihtout practicing & it took me about 45mins!
I am planning on trianing, its hard now because its dark when i leave & return from work.
I have some equipment @ home, excercise bike, rowing machine & treadmill.
what would be my best course of action?
I have someone to train with at weekends, we're going on a run tomorrow & hopefully sunday
all advice greatly recieved

Oh, well, you'll be fine. I ran the half marathon at the end of September in London, trained for it in June and July (running 7.5k in park every other night) than in August I came down with throat, ear and eye infection, than with swine flu. By the time I recovered it was the 18th September and I went on holiday for a week and flew back to London the night before the half-marathon. I wasn't really prepared but was in a good shape as I've been doing regular exercises for about 2 years (gym 4-5times a week). I run it in 2hrs 15 min, could have been better if I have had trained in August and September. Advice: always, always drink at the water/energy drink stations. And make sure that your shoes are designed for long distance running. Other than that, don't forget applying Vaseline on race day0
