my pc won't load the site - says there is a problem with it's security certificate?!

I had a detailed look at the certificate (I'm one of those Microsoft Certified Partners so you can trust me :p), and it's registered to toyota.co.uk - meaning they're using the wrong certificate for the website.

Obviously as they're both Toyota websites I would say it's safe to add an exception.

I don't want to offend, but no doubt I will, why should anyone trust you, just because you say so

Sorry, you put a smiley, so that's OK :rotfl:

To be honest, anyone who decides to have a look at the offending certificate for themselves will see it's registered to Toyota, so there isn't a problem here.

I haven't led anyone wrong on this website before and I'm not about to start now.

All these competitions, that I posted in the last 15 min., came from the Today Tomorrow magazine- magazine for Toyota owners. I did ages ago exactly what jaxdia said - added an exception. Everything is fine. But of course I will leave the decision to enter to your own judgement.

Said I'd offend, even if I didn't mean to, but so you say.

How do you know it's a Toyota website, for sure

    Clicky.

Nominet's records say the domain is owned by Toyota.

  • Go through Toyota's URL to get the same competition.

I got that as well. But how do we know for sure that's not a lie?

Good question, but whois records can't be forged or changed (to this extent anyway), only masked or registered by a proxy. If Nominet says Toyota are the ones who registered the domain, Toyota are the ones who registered the domain.

Sorry to bump, but horribly slow site! Shame on you, Toyota.
