The Heritage Open Days website has opened with this years properties.
Virtually all are free, some need to be booked as they are very popular.
Loads of National Trust & English Heritage properties are in there.

Anyone got a discount code for the brochure??
I did post elsewhere but with no luck yet...Life's what you make it....
"I've got one, two, three, [STRIKE]four[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]five[/STRIKE]... senses working overtime..", XTC.
Life beyond voluntary work scares me, but what else is there?0 -
This is a brilliant offer as many of the places are usually pretty expensive. The only trouble is which to choose (& I'm not complaining!). Almost all the places are open for free 12-13 September. A few are for other dates too.0

:jThank you, Thats great news ! :j
We had to stop visiting 'The National Trust' Properties..............
As i had confronted them on their 'Fox Hunting' Policy (when it was legal) and the Barbaric Hunt going on/across N-T land..........
And was told they do allow 'Fox Hunting and the Hunt' on to their land.........so reluctantly, we told them to cancel our membership, as did many of our friends !
Now the 'Hunting' of small and frightened Foxes is illegal, we have renewed our NT membership, along with our friends........ ! :grouphug::grouphug:
If you agree with me........please hit the button

Get booking, starts in under 2 weeks.
Some great unusual one-off events available, many you couldn't even normally buy during the year.0 -
How did I miss this? I've been keeping an eye out for the Heritage Open Days. I must of overlooked it in Martin's email.
Thanks rosered100!0 -
Went to the castle in Tonbridge today & I can highly recommend it.
Dont know if you usually have to pay but they had archery, jousting, falconry displays plus a walking tour around the town & great views from the top of the castle. Its all on again tomorrow from 10.300
