were do we start?
leaving our house voluntary in a few days because we cant pay mortgage and loans and the area is shocking,we are renting a lovely house but not sure were to start.
what do we do about utility bills?
what do we do about council tax?
do we just post keys back to mortgage company?
can we still be traced by creditors?
how long do we wait before going bankrupt?
any answers would be really gratefull as im not sleeping well.
thanks

Just close the utilities and ask them to send you a final bill. You might find that your landlord has already set your accounts up with gas & electric & water.
In Stoke we got 6 months free council tax while the house was empty check with your local council.
you can ask your mortgage company for a vol repo form BUT it might not be advisable. they can take up to a year to repo through a court.
set up post redirection to you rental house, about £35 for 6 months so you still get your mail.
Creditors will still find you but it may take them a while to trace you.
And relax, going BR is not the end of the world. we arent criminals!!
Go BR when ever you want!! about £520 each, depending on your circumstances.
Once your BR sign nothing from your mortgage company.
Post back if you need any more info0
