Super6 changes at Aldi on Monday

Hi, went to Aldi this morning to stock up on a few things, and asked about the super six change. It's happening on Monday, and the new items are Mango, Advocado, Celery, Cucumber, Gem Lettuce(pack of 2) and tomatoes( sixpack) they apparently will be 29P!!! That will help my mealplans for the month then!

I'm a big fan of Aldi but do they change their staff a lot. I've found my local branch management (in the NW)has changed a couple of times in the last year and I'm not that impressed with the store at the moment. Last time I was in I discovered more than one out of date product on the shelves (chocolate mostly)and the milk I bought was off when I went to drink it 2 days later. There was a lot of empty spaces where they hadn't re-stocked too which looked dismal. This never used to happen. Also the nectarines in the 49p display did not look good. I must have picked through 30 packets and couldn't find a decent one. Still love Aldi though, don't get me wrong, but there seem to be a lot of variations in standards depending on the branch. Anyone else noticed this?

YES! I now always check the underside of the packaging to make sure the contents are alright. Can't understand why this store is winning so many awards, they don't even have a baking section in our new one and it has humanoids on the tills that practically throw the stuff at you and growl if you dare start packing it before you've left the check out. There's a Sainsbury opening right next door in a couple of weeks, I guess I'll be using that from then on. Staff there can't be any worse, that's for sure.

Thanks for the info, JackieG. I couldn't decide whether to drag myself into town tomorrow or wait until next week. I'm guessing I'll go tomorrow, as peppers and bananas suit us better. :)

Celery sounds good to me as I love it in salads or even to make some soup with.I always wrap it in tinfoil and it keeps it nice and crisp. The tomatos sound good as well.mangos I like and little gem lettuce but I seem to be knee deep in cucumber as so many folk I know have grown it this year I have hardly bought any at all and have three in the fridge at the moment .
