Boots free Olay Anti Wrinkle glitch

I was in the Gerrards Cross branch of Boots at lunch and by the till they have reduced the night antiwrinkle cream from £21 to a fiver. I bought a few for xmas. When I paid for it, the till spat out a £5 off voucher for Olay regenerist so I used it to pay for the reduced £5 one, basically getting it for free.

then, the till spat out another £5 voucher so another free one (though I brought it back to the office for someone else to use).

so if anyone pops into Boots and check to see if it is reduced, you could have a few free!

Was it in purple packaging like this?

I saw some on clearance in my local but didn't think they'd work with the voucher as it says olay definity, regenerist or total effects. Will go back and try.

no it is the small night cream. if it says regenerist it is good to go.

by the way, after 10 trips to boots from our entire office, we broke the chain of spit receipts by reinvesting at £4.50. purchases have to be £5 and above for it to produce a free voucher.

Is it store dependant whether or not you can use the voucher on reduced stock?...I have just spied some Regenerist Cream reduced to £6 but was once refused using the coupon on reduced stock so I didnt bother trying today, but if you can I will pop back as its a great prezzie for a £1

i think it's probably more down to the cashier and how 'wise' they are...and how harsh there boss is when they mess up. If one till excepts the voucher then i think they all should because most of them run off the same system at HQ.

Thanks, I might pop down when this rain clears as I love a bargain, although our Boots is so tiny they only ever have one checkout and one woman serving so not too sure I would be able to use it
