As per title I've just bought the FIFA 2005 Xbox Live pack in HMV for £19.99.
Includes code for 12 months Xbox Live so that alone is a saving of £20 on the 'normal' cost and you also get the game and headset to sell on or use with Xbox.
12 month code works with both Xbox and Xbox 360.

Have you tried the game on the xbox 360 and does it work and have you tried the code on the 360 and can you confirm it works also.
I am new to all this is this the gold or silver 12 month sub?

Game won't work....yet but that may change. I'm going to pass on the game and headset anyway.
Code works fine and offers half price Live for a year which will do me fine.

Just a wee bit confused where you say offers half price live.
Can you confirm that the xbox live segment of it is either silver or gold for 360 ?
Is it half price live as if you buy this package your getting the package at £20 from hmv where as full price from msoft is £40?

it'll be the gold membership - silver xbox live is free but does not allow you to play online, only to message and talk to friends and browse the "marketplace".
trust me, the gold membership is well worth a purchase. I've been using xbox live for about 15 months and it is so much fun.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

Normal cost of 12 months Live 'Gold' (which as above is really the only one worth bothering with) is £39.99.
This pack at £19.99 includes a code which when entered gives you the same 12 months so half the price plus you get game and headset included which you can pass on.

Just tried 5 hmv stores in glasgow (breahead, sauchihall st, clydebank, east kilbride snd argyll st) and all are saying not in stock and £60 to get once it comes in stock.
Wonder if its only at selected branches?0 -

I got mine in Princes Street, Edinburgh store.
They also had the Project Gotham Racing 2 Live pack with 12 month code for £39.99 but buy one get one free. They only had one in. Suppose if you buy two it works out the same.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515

cheers jcl for letting everyone know though guess people in glasgow area were not lucky enough to get any, one store forget which one know said they had not had any in stock since 2004.
