Banksy Covent Garden

I was in Covent Garden this weekend and stumbled across this: Please Love Me - Banksy exhibition. Free entrance and it's cool to get a chance to see some of the older stuff, there were loads of the rats

It might not be a swish as the exhibition in Bristol but it's still worth a look if you like his stuff. I was there at about 10.00am and there wasn't a queue or too many people about at that time.

Brilliant! I've just been to the Bristol exhibition but this is a little closer to home.
Thanks!

Glad you like it, have to confess I'm a little jealous as I would love to have attended the Bristol one. It sounds amazing judging by what other users have said.
I've developed that London centricity whereby I forget that London isn't actually the centre of the universe and that there are loads of other really awesome places out there where cool stuff happens
Still like I said earlier it's worth a look if you like his stuff0 -
It just glamourises what these stupid graffiti vandals get up to, and yes as he paints on the side of buildings without permission its vandalism, and the publicity he's getting encourages others to do it, send him to me and I'll cut his ear off, then he can loosely resemble a decent artist.
Threads about this !!!! are not what I hope to see on the freebie board

The Horror of all Horrors. I clicked the "Like" button hoping to be able to choose an option to dislike this thread, and it thanked me for liking it. !!!!!.0

Although your opinion on Banksy is different from mine I can see where you’re coming from and will respect that.
I am however a little disappointed by your comment about this not being the kind of thing you'd hope to see on the freebie board. It qualifies as a freebie (indeed the free entrance to the Bristol exhibition was posted by Lowerld no less)
I think the diversity of the items posted on the freebie board is a good thing. I might not be interested in everything thing that's on here or even like it but I can see that it might be of value or interest to others. You are of course welcome to dislike Banksy and the exhibitions it but I feel that others may have found this information useful and this kind of thing has as much a place on the board as any other freebie.
As for hitting the like instead of dislike button - unlucky try sending one of the board guides a pm, maybe they will be able to help you fix that0 -
Rthanks for the link, have just emailed it to my mate in London who loves banksyDebt free date 23rd march 2009 🥳Autism is my super power 🏳️🌈 🌈✨0

Very useful freebie!
Graffiti is an art form. People may not agree with the way it is produced but on any other surface it would be considered art by a wider sector of society. Free speech is illegal in certain places, that doesn't mean it's wrong.0 -
Just wanted to add that the Bristol Exhibition was fantastic and well worth the hour and half we had to queue for it.:EasterBunpsb0

Woo Hoo! Something I posted made it into the weekly email. I’d dance around but my colleagues might look at me funny and call security…

Hope those of you who get to go enjoy it.0
