I missed a bunch off last time but think ive got it.
We do have a bit of excess cash but at the mo it is not accesible.
It looks like, now we have combined our wages effectively, there will be cash for the debts every month but thats on paper, he hasnt been here long enough to try it out yet!
what he would like to do, is split the money we have left before payday between us so that we have money for ourselves and dont touch the cash in the bank during the month. I'm not sure if that will work, cos ill probably end up chucking it at the debt while he buys computer games lol
havent sold on ebay for a long time, but have plenty stuff for it!
also, info about the huge overdraft...have an agreement with the bank whereby I pay £150 a month to it, but am curently moving over £50 a week just to pay it off quicker.
lost my motivation before and feel a bit scummy for it!
Teachers note...must try harder!!

SOA is looking good - could you reduce the groceries and put something in presents instead?
Welcome back! I had a period a while back where I slipped a bit, but then I refocused and I'm even more determined now!Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090 -
well technically the grocery one covers clothing and presents too, as we budget to pick these things up as we go if they are on offer, even if it is age 8-9 jeans down to £1.50 for a 6 year old boy!!!
I'm thinking we can probably get it down though thanks!!
my main goal is to get rid of that overdraft asap, that way the £50 a week can then go the credit card etc. Im going to look up that snowball thing and give myself a target!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:TA-Z of Prizes - R, Y0 -
Ah, that makes sense!
A target is always good. My overdraft was the first thing I got rid of too, it's so nice to see a bank account with actual money in not a minus figure!Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090 -
the quicker i get rid of this lot and the loan, the quicker i can delve into the MFW forums!!!
then we will be truly debt free!!
its sounds so silly that the debt feels like such a good idea at the time, ie, moving house, get a loan to buy the stuff, pay the fees etc etc, but it works out that you cant enjoy the blimmin house in the first place!!
Im very proud with what i have achieved so far, and feel that I have made good progress from the provident loan, 2 overdrafts argos card new look card, they are all gone now!!
have moved the OD into a seperate account so that our money goes in as credit on that one, and we actually transfer the £50 a week over to pay that off. Its very deceiving on payday when you see that funds are there, and they arent really!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:TA-Z of Prizes - R, Y0 -
oooh forgot to mention, th snowballer gave me 122 months including my mortgage.....crikey, 10 years to clear it all.
well i'll give it a blast!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:TA-Z of Prizes - R, Y0 -
