I'm taking out a loan in my name for my mum, my question is can I have it so that the payments come out of her bank account?

depends usually who the loan is with but sure there will be no problem as long as it is paid. maybe your monther could get a loan if you stood as a gurarantor for here? who is the loan with?

I've got all the loan paperwork come through, but I submitted the application online with my bank account details as I didn't know if it would effect the decision - do you think I can manually change the bank account details on the paperwork, or would it be better to let the first payment go out of my account, and then phone them to ask to take from my mums account?

Why would you want to do this...

you will owe the money ; not your mother

if anything goes wrong and payments aren't made then its your credit rating that is trashed, defaults will be in your name, CCJs too.

It's my mum, not a stranger!
I've had loans for her in the past but the only difference is i've had the payments coming out of my bank account, and it just confuses me, so i'd prefer it if she could pay from her own account.
She has a steady job and a regular income, she has never let me down in the past and nor would she.

Then get her to transfer money into YOUR account one day before your payment is due - simple!
Why can she not get loans in her own name?

Not come on here to be quizzed - just to ask a question!

IMHO I think that this just adds an extra transaction and is something else that could go wrong, especially only leaving one day!

I have found that most banks/credit card/loan companies couldn't care less where the money comes from as long as it is paid on time every month.
