Competition Terms & Conditions

To enter the competition, entrants are required to EITHER answer the ‘Win a Mitsubishi L200 Long Bed’ competition question in The Sun newspaper by texting INCHES followed by A, B or C to 84880 or answer the competition question and enter via The Sun website entry form OR visit their local Mitsubishi Dealer and take a test drive in any new L200 pick-up, between 1st July and 30th September 2009. Where a test drive is taken, an entry form containing the competition question must be fully completed and stamped at the dealership where the test drive is taken and posted back to the FREEPOST address by 16th October 2009.
Text messages sent by entrants will be charged at entrant’s standard network rate.
Entrants must be aged over 21 years, hold a full clean UK driving licence and be a UK resident. One entry per household only.
No purchase is necessary to enter the Prize Draw.
The prize is a L200 Double Cab Warrior Long Bed, manual transmission with cloth interior in Aztec Red, worth £21,446.35 List Price. The vehicle will be supplied with 6 months Road Fund Licence. No accessories or fuel is included. The vehicle will be delivered to the winner via their nearest Mitsubishi Dealership approximately 3 weeks after the winner is announced. The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative available.
The winner will be responsible for insuring the vehicle and will need to supply insurance documentation and a full driving licence before collecting the vehicle.
The winner will be required to collect their prize vehicle from their local Mitsubishi dealer. Full details will be provided prior to the collection date. The winner will be responsible for their own travel expenses to collect the prize vehicle.
Entry to the competition closes on 16th October 2009. Entries received after this date will be invalid and will not be entered into the competition.
The winner will be selected by 22nd October 2009 by an independent Judge and notified in writing by 26th October 2009.
In the event of winning, entrants agree to participate in publicity releases, which may include in The Sun or at thesun.co.uk (which may include the use of photographs).
Employees (and their immediate families) of News International, Mitsubishi Motors, partners and associated companies are not eligible to enter the competition.
The Judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner’s name can be obtained by making a request in writing to the promoter, details below.

Can you tell me that do these competitions really ever occur or they are just to create a vibe among the people

? This sort of car competitions are very common in UK.. I have heard many of my friends or other known people to participate and never win.. You know this gives an uncanny feeling that these are all got up competitions..You participate just to be finally disappointed

....Wish could anyone tell me the key to win such competitions:o...

Yeah,, that's what I am telling - it seems to be like a dream come true or a miracle...! May be I feel so because none among the people I know has ever won it feels like the entry fee goes in vain!!

Now see again another new car competition has also popped up in the market...Almost through out the year something or the other is going on...Ya the vibe of course creates an excitement and urge to win:o.. My wife has always been energetic in such matters...Lets see what she thinks about, this time..!

Hey Alan I should suggest not to discourage your wife...If she wishes you should let her...In fact I am planning to join the latest car competition in UK...Yes it includes entry fees of course, but why not take a chance in life man:cool:? I am very excited:D..OK, if you are think investing in such competitions is crap, then you can at least join the beer competition..:beer:.. Hope, it attracts you;)...It's FREE:T..Trust me..Yeah, what you will gain is your weight

.But they do have their norms. They won't of course let anyone harm his own health.. I think many people have already started planning or browsing for how to participate...May be we meet in the latest "spot the car competition" soon.. And this time you may have something interesting to share with us:T

OK. May be you are talking of the same competition which I have mentioned earlier! Actually as I am not that interested, I don't know much! May be my wife does:o..I will ask her. Hope tomorrow I have some news for you;)..And beer:beer:.. Ahem! I think this beer competition will be more popular than the car. What do you say?

Guys,

Sorry to be damp squib but I don't think you can just enter this comp via the OPs link. Reading the T&Cs you can only enter via the Sun website and, if you follow the link from the Sun (which I did) you eventually get to the comp entry form and you have to print it out and take it to a Dealer who will stamp it AFTER you've had a test drive of any Mitzubishi.

If you read the first of the rules and conditions it says that there are three methods of entry

"entrants are required to EITHER answer the ‘Win a Mitsubishi L200 Long Bed’ competition question in The Sun newspaper by texting INCHES followed by A, B or C to 84880 OR answer the competition question and enter via The Sun website entry form OR visit their local Mitsubishi Dealer and take a test drive in any new L200 pick-up, between 1st July and 30th September 2009."
